I have just discovered the answer to one of my perpetual problems!
I’m usually quite good at grammar and all that, but I’ve never got the hang of when you spell “practi(c/s)e” with a c or an s. Now I have seen the answer!
Practice is when you are using the word as a noun, e.g. “In clinical practice, we often see…”
Practise is when you are using it as a verb, e.g. “I must practise my flute more”
And if you’re American, ignore all of the above and use a c all of the time. Because why be picky? 😉
